Itinerary summary:

DAY 1:
Our trail begins on arrival in Maun, Botswana.
A 25 minute air charter flight provides a bird’s-eye introduction to the delta. This is wilderness, and it’s our destination. We land on the dirt airstrip on a remote island at a charming base camp set on the Boro River.
Lunch is served in camp, followed by an introductory activity.
A private dinner is served in camp.

DAYS 2 - 4:
Chief's Island, Moremi Game Reserve
The Okavango’s secret places can only be accessed by mekoro. We depart base after breakfast and pole deep into the Moremi in search of a campsite.

Camp is located on the waters edge, in prime game viewing territory. 2m x 2m dome tents with sewn in groundsheets are provided. A bedroll with mattress, linen and pillow is provided.

With absolute flexibility, we explore the reserve. Early starts are recommended, and long walks are possible in cooler weather. Meals are prepped at camp.

Trails allows the rhythm of the bush to dictate. We have no set routes, and the walks depends on the signs, sounds and tracks of game, as well as our group dynamics and intentions.

DAY 5:
Pole back to base camp
After a final morning walk we pack up and return to base to enjoy the facilities and cold drinks. A chance to unwind and soak in the sunset from the viewing platform.
Dinner and overnight at camp.

DAY 6:
Depart
After a morning activity and breakfast we depart with a light aircraft charter from the airstrip and fly back to Maun to connect with on-going flights or arrangements.

What to expect:

*A deep-dive, fully immersed experience.
* A rustic base camp on the first and last nights.
* Camping wild for minimum 3 nights (longer stays are suggested).
* Unplugged movements on foot or dugout canoes.
* Small and exclusive groups, max 8 people.
* Travel light, uncluttered intentions.
* Explore our leadership keystones.
* Introduction to the walking culture on trail.

* Safety procedures when encountering big game.
* Solitude, silence and value of situational awareness.
* Cross the comfort boundary: a vital inner-process.
* Understanding our impact and the need for ecological humility.

About the walks:

Wild walking brings a level of consciousness incomparable to being in a vehicle, intentional simplicity and uncluttered-ness. Not only are we directly connected to the earth, but our senses are heightened and with each footfall the smells, sounds, and colours intensify.

Here we are in the hands of the delta. Encounters with elephant, lion, wild dog, giraffe, zebra and antelope are common, and making ourselves available to this vulnerability is an essential component.
While this may be perceived as counter-intuitive, we invite you to be available. To discover for yourself the humbling/inspiring virtues of the wild. To forsake, if you will, conventionality and dive in. A shiny and beautiful world of discovery awaits.

With absolute flexibility, we explore the region and surrounding smaller islands. Early starts are recommended, and long walks are possible in cooler weather. Meals are prepped at camp, and picnic snacks whilst on walks is all a part of the fare.
