In an era of instant gratification to just about anything and everything, the idea of something being finite is challenging. The earth’s resources are capped, and indiscriminate usage lacks vision.
Apart from the responsibility we have to future generations, we need to be mindful of contemporary issues around the world, such as health, food and water insecurity, economic instability and social disfunction. The attitude of while there is enough, I will just continue to use as and when and how I please, needs to be disrupted.
Lifestyle is after all, a conscious choice. And this is our chance to live larger than ourselves.

Ultimately, these laws recognise that the true driver of all economic activity is not capital itself, but the underlying life-support systems that enable it.
